M. Eileen Eberly Donathan Auer, age 88, resident of Willard, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 in Willard Mercy Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1917 in Newark, to the late George and Edna (Walker) Eberly and had been a resident of Willard most of her life, except 21 year in New Cumberland, Pa.
She worked for Wilkins Air Force Depot in Shelby and also for the Navy Depot in Pa. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Andrea Donathan of Fla.; grandson, Richard E. Donathan of Greenwich, two step-granddaughters, Cindy Goodson of N.M. and Deanna Besong of Norfolk, Va.; two great-step-grandchildren; sister, Lillian Mullen of Willard; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by he first husband, Allie C. Donathan and her second husband, Albert V. Auer; her parents; brother, Roy Eberly and four sister, Margaret Eberly, Cecilia Lawrence, Monica Kovasckitz and Edith Breyman Kesterson.
Friends called at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday, March 2, 2006 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 2 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, with Father Stanley S. Szybka officiating.
Burial followed at St. Jospeph Catholic Cemetery in Willard.
Memorial expressions may be made to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or to the donor's choice.
