A native of Union, she was the widow of Clyde Cathcart and the daughter of the late Elzie and Nannie Wiggins Eaves. She was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church and was retired from the Social Services Department.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Raines of Florida; two step-sons, the Rev. Billy Cathcart of Gray Court and James Cathcart of Mount Holly, N.C.; two sisters, Gladys Whitehead of Union and Louise Huff of Summerville; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Howard Johnson and Billy Cathcart. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of her sister, Mrs. Gladys Whitehead, 203 N. Mountain St., Union.
