She was born on September 15, 1913 in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Fred and Ruth (Bowley) Eastman. She worked for a few years at Diamond Match in Peru then raised her family.
On November 15, 2011 she was presented the Boston Post Cane for becoming Peru's oldest citizen.
She was married in Peru on December 8, 1934 to Norman Child who passed away June 25, 1988.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Edwin, Arthur, Albert Eastman and Richard Page, one granddaughter and a great-grandson.
Interment in the Dickvale Cemetery in Peru.
