Glenda Jewell Hardy Earp passed away on April 3, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents Price and Christine Hardy and her husband L. B. Earp. Glenda was born on May 16, 1933, on a farm near Southwest City, Missouri, and was the third of five daughters. She graduated from Southwest City High School in 1951, and the following year attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Miami, Oklahoma. On June 4, 1952, at the First Baptist Church in Jay, Oklahoma, she married L.B. Earp, to whom she was married for 60 years. Throughout her lifetime, she worked primarily as a secretary, retiring from the Estate Tax Division of Oklahoma after many years of service. She will long be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit and devotion to her family and Christian faith. She was an active member of the Highland Hills Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.


Glenda is survived by her son Brent Earp, and wife Sandra, of Arcadia, Oklahoma; two daughters, Elizabeth Boone, and husband Steve, of Cedar Creek, Texas, and Leslie Reichert, and husband Frederick, of Moore, Oklahoma; four sisters, Wilma Woods of Fort Worth, Texas, Colleen Houck of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Donna Hardy of Southwest City, Missouri and Polly Schlosser of Plano, Texas. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Justin and Joshua Daugherty; great grandchildren, Carly Jewel Reichert and Bode Reichert, Alysa Daugherty, Lukas Daugherty, Aria Daugherty and Jaxson Daugherty and several nieces and nephews.
