Departed this life, May 24th, 1880, at 6:30 p.m., after a long and painful illness, which she bore with Christian resignation, Elizabeth C. Day, beloved wife of Wm. H. Day and eldest daughter of James M. and Eliza Jane Duvall, aged 34 years and 6 days.
Dearest daughter thou hast left us,
We thy loss most deeply feel;
But 'tis God that hath bereft us,
He can all our sorrow heal.
Her funeral will take place from her parents' residence, 513 8th street southeast, on Wednesday, May 26th, at 3 o'clock p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend (Baltimore papers please copy).
