Dupré, William Louis (50) died at St. Paul's Hospital in Dallas from complications due to cancer on March 9, 2011. Bill was surrounded by his loving family and friends when he slipped quietly away.
Born May 7, 1960 in New Orleans, Bill was the second youngest of five children of Lillian Babin and Webster Dupré. He attended Louisiana State University, where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He graduated with a degree in Marketing in 1982. With his outgoing nature and love of people, Bill enjoyed a 30 year career in sales and retail marketing that took him from New Orleans to Tyler Texas, Seattle Washington, and finally to Frisco Texas. Bill had a passion for basketball and golf that started in his childhood. He loved LSU athletics and the New Orleans Saints. While in Seattle, Bill met and married Nancy Jane Noblet of Dallas in 2000. Bill was immediately welcomed into his large extended Texas family and was proud to be raising a future Texas Longhorn.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Webster. He is survived by his wife Nancy and their daughter Olivia Grace Dupré of Frisco and his son Alexander Onile Dupré of Valencia, California and Alex's mother Rachelle Dardeau; his mother Lillian; sister Patty and her husband Mike Scott; brother Nathan and his wife Sara; brother Larry, his wife Julie, their sons Paul and Michael; brother David, his wife Anne and their children Daniel and Bonnie; sister-in-law Karen Turner, her husband Spencer and their daughters Morgan and Macy.
A rosary will be held at noon on Monday, March 14th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 6306 Kenwood Avenue, Dallas followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 pm. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life for Bill at Restland Funeral Home, 9220 Restland Road, Dallas, on March 14th from 4 to 6 pm. Bill will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his passion for life and that great Tiger smile. Geaux in Peace Billy, we will miss you.
