Helen Elizabeth "Betsy" Ayler, 86, passed away Monday. She was born in Carroll Co. the daughter of the late Clarence B. and Lela Oliver Dunn and was also preceded by her husband Fred Ayler, a sister, Alma Sullivan and brothers, Charles A. "Bo" and Beverly Oliver Dunn and a nephew, Jimmy Dunn. Betsy was a homemaker and former owner/operator of the Aylers Marina. She was a member of the Carrollton United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include, one son Danny (Glenda) Ahler of Carrollton, a granddaughter Jamie (Derrick) Hall, a nephew Jerry (Sharon) Sullivan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be on Thursday Feb. 24 beginning at 5 PM and the service at 7 PM at the Carrollton United Methodist Church.The graveside service will be on Friday at 11 AM at the Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Carrollton United Methodist Church.
