Mrs, Gretta Sue Allen, 80, of Ashgrove, MO formally of Hornersville, MO., passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 surrounded by family.

Gretta was born Wednesday May 29, 1935 in Powhatan, AR to the late Marion Dunkin and Jessie Mae Waller.

On Thursday, December 14, 1950 in Osceola, AR, Gretta was united in marriage to the late James Allen, from this union was two children. Debbie McElroy and husband Bill of Ashgrove, MO. and Rick Allen and wife Robin of Vanzant, MO. Gretta leaves behind five grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Gretta was preceded in death by one brother Marion “Ernest” Dunkin, two sisters Evelyn Dunkin and Helen Shelton.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 11:00 to 12:00 in the chapel of Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral services will follow at noon. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Kennett, MO.

The family ask in lieu of flowers than donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association 9370 Olive Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63132-3253
