Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Dunford Coley, age 73, who died Thursday morning at the home of her daughter in Fries, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Baker's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, with interment following in the Williams Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Lambert and Rev. James Black officiated.
Mrs. Coley was the widow of William H. Coley and a resident of Porter's Crossroads Community, Route 3, Wytheville.
She is survived by eights daughters, Mrs. Sally Coleman, Mrs. Irene Hanks, Max Meadows; Mrs. Mary Holliday, Alexandria; Mrs. Mildred Saville of Blacksburg; Mrs. Anna Belle Arnold, Fries; Mrs. Arlene White, Hillsville; Mrs. Norma Davis, Fredericksburg; Mrs. Emily Lanter, Marietta, Ga.; six sons, Charles Coley, David Coley, Rt. 1, Max Meadows; Jessie Coley, Larry Coley, Paul Coley, Rt. 3, Wytheville; Barton Coley, Washington, D.C.; one half brother, Jack Dunford, Rt. 3, Wytheville; three half sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Gibson, Manassas; Mrs. Ida Lane, Mrs. Katherine Crigger, Rt. 3, Wytheville; 48 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.
Morehead's Funeral Home in Austinville handled the arrangements.
