Martha G. Smith, 82, of Linton, passed away at 2:55 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born Oct. 29, 1920, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Charles K. and Nola G. (Gadberry) Duncan.
She was a bookkeeper at Musselman Construction and Apartments. She was a member of the First Christian Church; American Legion Post 22 Ladies Auxiliary; Women of the Moose; Secretary for United Way; 8/40 Salon 540 of Monroe County; WIBC (Women International Bowling League; and the Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Kittle of Linton; and two grandsons, Josh and Justin Kittle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. "Woody" Smith on Feb. 2, 1990; one grandson, Michael Kittle; one brother, Charles Duncan Jr.; and her parents.
Funeral services will be at Anderson-Poindexter Linton Memory Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Michael Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.
