E. Mae Colwell, 95, formerly of Jewell, died at 3:15 p.m. Friday, July 26, 1991 in Leisure Oaks Convalescent Center.
She was born Nov. 3, 1895, in Defiance County's Richland Township, the daughter of George and Kathryn (Heilman) Brubaker. In 1915, she married J. Frank Dunbar, who died in 1953. In 1969, she married Guy Colwell, who died in 1974. She was a homemaker and member of Independence Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Edward Dunbar of Defiance and Bernard Dunbar, Sardinia; a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Doris) Rowe, Springfield; a sister, Oressa Hammon, Archbold; and 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a son, John Dunbar; two sisters, Edna Weaner and Carrie Durfey; and three brothers, Russell, Alvin and Howard Brubaker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Visitation will be from2-9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Monday.
Preferred memorials are to Independence Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
