AUWARTER, Ruth (nee: Downes), on March 21, 2011, age 92 years, of Tansboro, NJ.
Survived by two sons Carl Jr. (Joan), Edward (Leslie) Auwarter both of Tansboro, NJ, and daughter Carolyn (Gerald) Sleeter of Blackwood, NJ, two sisters Virginia Auwarter of Tansboro, NJ and Edna Cross of Berlin, NJ, also seven grandchildren Kevin Sleeter, Karl Auwarter III, Kasey Sleeter, Kelly Paoli, Jill Auwarter-Pape, Gretchen Gross, Kurt Sleeter, thirteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She and her late husband Carl owned and operated Little Timber Ranch in Tansboro, NJ. Ruth was past vice president of the NJ Thoroughbred Breeders Assoc., a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Tansboro Fire Company, a member of the Needlework Guild, and member of the Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Berlin.
A memorial service will held Monday, March 28, 2011, 11am at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, where family and friends may call 9am. Interment of Cremains Berlin Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Communion Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, 442 S. Route 73, Berlin, NJ 08009.
