Crystal E. Dowker, 85, of Midland, went home to be with her Lord on November 27, 2016 while surrounded by her family. She was born October 8, 1931 in Cadillac, the daughter of Einar Arthur and Alma Irene (Hendricks) Hage.
On March 14, 1953, she married Kenneth W. Dowker. Crystal was a devoted Christian, and a longtime member of the Midland Assembly of God (now called Christian Celebration Center). Her family and her faith were the two most important things to her.
She is survived by her children Steven Dowker of Illinois, Terri Gibson of Reno, NV, Sandy (Tom) Chritz of Midland, Karen (Bob) Vos of Midland; grandchildren Shammah (Melissa) Dowker of Midland, Jennifer (Jeremiah) Gourd of Bay City, Steven Dowker, Jr. of Illinois, Danielle (Jason) Demoss of Colorado, Charles Gibson, Jr., James Gibson both of Reno, NV, Lynette (Chad) Merryman of Midland, Richard (Yunhe) Chritz of Long Beach, CA, Erin Martyn, Robert Chritz, both of Midland, Damion (Stephanie) Dowker of Flushing; 19 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Donna (Dr. Tom) Knight of Midland, Pat (Jerry) Salat of Illinois and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, son Michael and her brother Phillip (Donna) Hage.
Funeral services will take place at 7 pm, Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler Street. Pastor Mitzi Nimmo will officiate with burial Saturday in Oak Grove Cemetery, Jennings. Crystal’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 pm until time of services.
