Some of their children became part of what is known as the Dow Settlement at York, New Brunswick.
Rosanah, and Hannah Dow (1808-1887) were twin sisters. Hannah married to John Dickinson (1813-1885) of Canterbury Parish, York County, New Brunswick. They are buried together at Marne Cemetery.
Rosanah Dow (1808-c.1852) married William Dickinson (1805-)of Canterbury Parish at Woodstock, New Brunswick in 1826. Their place of rest is currently unknown. They are sisters Dow and brothers Dickinson. Later generations of Dows are indicated in this part of York County.
