Mrs. Elizabeth E. Beck, R.N., 86, of Springfield died at 7:23 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Medical Center.
Born on Jan. 15, 1902, in Mason County, Mrs. Beck was the daughter of the late Willard and Minnie Ingram Douglas.
She married Jay W. Beck in 1922, and he died in 1970.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Willard and Bud Douglas; and one sister, Mrs. Birdie Lamb.
A resident of Springfield since 1919, she was a graduate of Springfield Hospital School of Nursing in 1922.
She was a nurse a Memorial Medical Center and Fiatallis Manufacturing Co. for many years.
Mrs. Beck was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church, AARP, Ladies Trainmen Lodge 356 and Memorial Medical Center Nurses Alumna Association.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Shirley) Fisherkeller and Mrs. Jack (Janet) Chrans, both of Springfield; three sons, Zane Beck of Springfield, Donald J. Beck of Ranton, Wash., and Robert Beck of Silver City, N.M.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray Douglas of Mason City and Elmer Douglas of West Laco, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gene Bilotti officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
