Mr. Dorris was the owner/operator of a grading business. He was a member of Corner Baptist Church and a charter fishing boat captain.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Diane Godfrey Dorris of Powder Springs; son, David Dorris of Powder Springs; daughters, Polly Hall of Kennesaw and Pam Metscher; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece and three nephews.
Interment will follow services in Georgia Memorial Park.
