The Scranton Republican, Aug. 7, 1925:

"Mrs. Charles Dopko Succombs at Hospital

Mrs. Anna Dopko, wife of Charles Dopko, of 603 Watt street, Duryea, died at 10:20 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Taylor Hospital, following an operation.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Bernard. The funeral will take place at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning from the family home with a high mass of requiem in Sacred Heart Church, Duryea. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Duryea."

"Popular Young Woman Dead

Mrs. Anna Dopko, aged 25 years, wife of Charles Dopko, watchmaker at Landau's store, Pittston, died at Taylor Hospital yesterday, of complications, following an illness from which she has suffered since the last of May. Two weeks ago she was removed to the hospital, where she grew steadily worse until she passed away yesterday.

She was a well known and highly respected young woman of the borough and a consistent member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband and one son Bernard; also by her mother, Mrs. Mary Bogus, who lives at the Dopko home; four brothers: John, of Scranton; Joseph and Michael of Duryea; and Frank, formerly chief of police of Nanticoke. Four sisters also survive: Mrs. Julia Swanik, of Old Forge; Mrs. Catherine Pawloski, of Duryea; Mrs. Helen Krinski, of Forty Fort; and Mrs. Mary Zacoski, of Duryea.

The funeral will be held from the family home, 603 Watt street, Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock, with services in Holy Rosary R.C. Church at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in the church cemetery."
