Laura (Feller) Betsworth, 86, of Sioux City, former longtime Merrill, Iowa resident passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, with Reverend Dan Greving of Assumption Catholic Church in Merrill officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitations will begin at 3:00 Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars, where there will be a Parish rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Vigil Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. There will also be visitation at St. James Church for one hour prior to the Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

The former Laura Margaret Dominick was born August 6, 1925 in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Irene (Warrens) Dominick. She attended Central High School in Le Mars. On June 1, 1943, she married Joseph Feller who was killed in a car accident on March 31, 1950. She married Leonard Betsworth on April 14, 1953. They farmed for many years in the Merrill area, until moving into town in 1972. Leonard passed away July 24, 1986. Laura had worked at Michalosky's and later at the Wankum Inn in Merrill for over 22 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sioux City and former member of Assumption Catholic Church in Merrill. Through the years, she enjoyed visiting friends, crafts, and playing bingo. She also loved spending time with all of her grandchildren.

Survivors are two sons: Robert (Kathy) Feller of Le Mars, and Robert (LeAnn) Feller of Worthington, MN; two daughters: Darlene (Chuck) Estochen and Christy Feller-Miller, all of Sioux City; grandchildren: Matt Feller, Drew (Angela) Feller, Brad (Jennifer) Estochen, Renee (David) Lo, Chuck Estochen, III, Josh (Shanee) Feller, Jackie Feller, Adam Feller, Ashley (Derek) Hellstrom, Troy Feller, and Taylor and Travis Miller; great grandchildren: Kylie, Neela and Brooke Estochen, Dylan, Devon, Dominick and Cadance Feller, Desmond Bixby and Shaylee Feller; great great grandchild: Raygan Feller; a sister: Bev (John) Harmelink of Spirit Lake, IA; a brother: Ray (Marlene) Dominick of Des Moines, IA; two sisters in law: Deloris Dominick of Scottsdale, AZ and Norma Dominick of Sioux City, IA; a brother in law: Harold Sitzmann of Le Mars; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded death by her parents; two husbands, Joseph Feller and Leonard Betsworth; a son: Jackie Feller; a sister: Shirley Sitzmann; and two brothers: Lyle and Marv Dominick.
