Cyrilla was born Cyrilla Jean Dolan on February 2nd, 1942 in Mason City, Iowa to Thomas Aloysius Dolan and Mary Monica (Beecher) Dolan. She was the youngest of 9 children. After graduating from St. Josephs High School on May 29th, 1959 in Mason City she moved to Rochester Minnesota to attend St. Mary's School of Nursing. It was in Rochester at the Mayo Clinic that she met the man who would become her husband, C.W. Brubaker II who was studying Physical Therapy at the Mayo Clinic.

After both of them graduated they would move to California where they got married on February 9th, 1965. They settled in Morgan Hill and in 1967 welcomed their first child, Kristin. Two years later while still in Morgan Hill their second child, C.W. (Billy) Brubaker III was born. The following year they took advantage of an opportunity (brought to their attention by good friend Jim Sherman) to work for the SoMoCo Medical Group in King City. It was in King City where they would raise their three children. Cyrilla worked as a Registered Nurse and husband Bill as a Physical Therapist. Their third child, Thomas Joseph Brubaker, was born 3 years later in 1973.

Cyrilla was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her dogs.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bill (1997) and daughter Kristin (2012).
