COMPTON, SHARON, 63, of Mt. Washington, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. She was the secretary at Bullitt Central High School with 24 years of service, and is a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Mt. Washington. She was also a delegate for her church at the Untied Methodist Conference. She was preceded in death by her father, John Cecil Dodson and her step-father, Herbert Corbridge. She is survived by her loving husband, Jesse Compton; two daughters, Kathy Martin (Amos) of Louisville and Missy Stallings (Chris) of Mt. Washington; two sisters, Shirley Stucker of Mt. Washington and Pamela Buckles (Phil) of Fairborn, OH; two grandchildren, Clayton and Katie Stallings, both of Mt. Washington. Mrs. Compton's funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Mt. Washington. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 p.m. at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington and also Tuesday from 10 a.m. to service time at her church. Memorial donations can be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 7357 Hwy. 44 E., Mt. Washington, KY, 40047.
