She was born Oct. 23, 1921 in Vernal to Joseph and Marie Burton Dodds. She married the man of her life, Marion Hall on June 9, 1941 in Vernal. They moved to Texas, New York, and then settled in Vernal where they lived a full, happy life.
Lois was active in the community, including Uintah Cowbells, Rebecca Lodge, Lady of Elks, and American Legion Auxillary. She loved to sew, dancing and square dancing, gardening, and she loved to travel and meet many friends from all over. Her greatest joy was to be with her family. She loved going on the lake in Menno and Cara's houseboat.
Lois is survived by her daughters; Carol (Dyle) Webster, and Gala (Kenny) Morris, grandchildren; Roger Opie (Kori) Rhoades, Cara (Menno) Hershberger, Suzi (Richard) Earl, Tracy (Alicia) Webster, Jeremy (Amanda) Morris, Logan Webster, Amanda Morris, Jenna Morris, 20 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Sammy.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, sister; Virginia (Jinny) Hall, nephew; Gary Hall, grandsons; Gary Wades Rhoades and Morgan Joseph (Mojo) Morris, and great-grandson; Caleb Rhoades.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. at the Ashley 2nd Ward LDS Chapel. Viewings were Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Blackburn Mortuary and one hour to services at the chapel. Burial was in the Dry Fork Cemetery under the Care and direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
