Mary was the daughter of Samuel & Martha Dodd or Dod. Her headstone ( spelled Cundic as on headstone) conflicts with what may or may not be her husband, Samuel's, headstone. Note the ancestor John's headstone spelling of the surnames at the family memorial # 12179447 for John the ancestor and his only son, Peter Condict, whose six sons (3rd generation), are also dedicated here: John Condict .
Samuel is historically documented in the New Jersey Archives . There, Samuel (grandson of John the ancestor),along with his sons, Daniel( (father of Jemima Condict Harrison), and Samuel are so noted with the Revolutionary War era surname of Condict here: American History and Genealogical Project, with its source: Proceedings of the New Jersey Historical Society, New Series, Volume IX, 1924.

The memorial was erected by the ancestor's great, great grandson, the Hon. Silas Condict some 50 years "before" the Condit authored/indexed genealogy books that indexed and named the tree descendants as Condit (for their convenience they said), although it appears that the early generations are in historical archives as Condict. It appears some of the later branches of the fourth generation adapted the surname to Condit, however some, in particular, the Peter (3rd generation) branch kept the ancestor's Condict surname.

Mary and Samuel's children were: Daniel (father of the famous writer/ Boston Tea Party witness,Jemima Condict Harrison--who is spelled as Cundict at FAG # 6819459 with a DAR marker), Jotham, Samuel, Martha, David & Jonathan Condict, not Condit...Again, these descendants were indexed as Condit in the Condit authored/indexed genealogy books of 1885/1916 by Jotham and Eben Condit that have in many cases been misspelled by others when citing the Condit books. Both names are correct, but history seems to show the original surname was spelled Condict, with the second "c".
New Jersey Archives Sources: Samuel's son,Daniel, has his will showing Condict for his children, as per the NJ Archives, and is so noted on ancestry.com (NJ Colonial Documents, Calendar of Wills, 1781-1785, at pages 85, 86).
Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) also shows this Revolutionary family lineage as Condict in their GRS database, although note that DAR uses an algorythm Soundex to spell surnames as they sound, and not as they may actually be spelled, or noted in history.
