'Joseph Dobash Dies; Was State Road Inspector, Kline Justice.'
Joseph F. Dobash, 401 E. Grant St., McAdoo, a highway inspector for the Allentown District of the Pennsylvania Department of Highways, died suddenly early yesterday morning at his home. The deceased had served as a justice of the peace in Kline township for 12 years, was past president of the McAdoo Lions Club and past commander of McAdoo Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6708. Active in the Boy Scout movement, he was South Side Scout commissioner and institutional representative for Troop 42, McAdoo. Born in this city, the deceased was a son of Mrs. Elizabeth Dobash, this city, and of the late Joseph Dobash. His father died in 1937. He was in the Army for four years during World War II and served overseas in the Pacific Theatre of Operatons. He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, McAdoo, and of the Ebervale Old Timers Club.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, the former Cecilia Straka, a teacher at the Kelayres Elementary School; one daughter, Monica, at home; and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. John (Anna) Nicholas, Mrs. James (Helen) Carelli and Edward, all of this city; Stephen and John, Harwood; Mrs. Anthony (Margaret) Fristick, Quakake; Paul, Arizona; George, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Edward (Elizabeth) Rokus and Leo, Ebervale; and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Thomas, Drifton.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 am from the Damiano Funeral Home, McAdoo. A high mass of requiem will be celebrated at 11 o'clock in St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
