Anna Dixwell was the daughter of John James and Elizabeth Dixwell of Jamaica Plain. She studied painting in Paris and had an affiliation at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Anna lived within a few hundred yards of the Eiffel Tower, her building is now a hotel. She died suddenly in Paris of unknown causes. She was the sister of Arthur Dixwell.
