SHELBY-Betty Jean Warlick Dixon, 78, of 606 Hanover Drive, Shelby, died Friday,July 1, 2011 at her residence.
Born June 1, 1933, in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Ivey Ray "Ike" Warlick and Gladys Morrison Warlick.
She retired as a nurse from Cleveland Memorial Hospital and was a charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist
Church.
Survivors: include her husband of 57 years, Dwight Houser Dixon; three daughters, Shelia Ann Bullock of Holly Springs, N.C.; Vicki Dixon Platt and husband, Jeff Gruver of Georgetown, S.C. and Tracy Dixon Hager and fiance, Barry Patterson of Southlake, Texas, and two grandchildren, Landon Bullock and Trevor Bullock both of Holly Springs, N.C.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston
Graveside: 5 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Cemetery, Shelby
