Martha J. Clark MARION: Martha J. Clark, age 81 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday September 26, 2009 at Marion General Hospital. She was born February 22, 1928 in Marion, Ohio to the late Howard and Frances (Hare) Disbennett.
On January 23, 1946 she married Delbert R. "Bud" Clark and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1992. Martha was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marion. She loved and truly enjoyed her family and her dogs. Martha retired as a braider with the former B.F. Goodich Company.
Surviving Martha are two sons and a daughter, Talmyr H. "Tim" (Maryann) Clark of Greensboro, N.C., D. Tom "Spike" (LeAnn) Clark of Shawnee Hills, Ohio, and Mrs. Danny Howard (Judith Ann) Austin of Marion, Ohio; a brother, David "Dodie" (Carol) Disbennett of Elizabeth City, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Mike, John, Amy, Ross, Jennifer, Jonathan, and Jessica; and five great-grandchildren, Danny, Jeanné, Nicolle, Justin and Ashley.
Besides her parents, Martha was preceded in death by a son, John S. Clark; a brother, Robert Disbennet; and a sister, Donna Shannon.
The funeral service for Martha will be Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Craig Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Frame Cemetery in Meeker, Ohio. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m.
