Mrs. P. A. Casad died at her home in this city Tuesday morning at 7:40 O'clock.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dimmitt and was born in this county January 21, 1849, and was 64 years, 5 months and 24 days of age at the time of her death. On the 2nd day of May, 1872, she was united in marriage to Peter A. Casad, who, with six children survive. One child, Lora, died when about three years of age. Those living are; Harry and Robert Casad and Mrs. J. C. and Mrs. F. E. Heiland, of this city; Mrs. Chas. T. Ashby, of Camden, and Mrs. Guy Williams, of Lafayette. Two brother, James Dimmitt, of Burlington, and Alva Dimmitt, of Lafayette, and two sisters, Mrs. Jerry Kramer, of Lafayette, and Mrs. Jonathan Hiney, of Idaville, also survive.

She also leaves four son-in-laws and one daughter-in-law Mrs.Harry Casad, F. E. and J. C. Heiland, of this city, Chas. Ashby, of Camden, and Guy Williams, of Lafayette, and twelve grandchildren Fred, Emmerson, Harry, Mary, Lucile and Margaret Heiland, Robert, Hilda and Don Casad, all of this city, Helen and Jeane Ashby, of Camden, and Erna Williams, of Lafayette. One daughter-in-law, Mrs. Robert Casad, died the 20th day of June.

Mrs. Casad; was a conscientious christian woman, a faithful wife and loving mother, ever ready to do a kind act for those in distress. Over 40 years ago she became a member of the Hopewell Christian church and remained steadfast in the cause as the angel of death summoned her to her home in God's beautious land where bodily ills are unknown.

Her two sons and four son-in-laws; acted as pall-bearers. Funeral services were held at the home on Indiana street Thursday afteri noon at 3:00 o'clock, Rev. Tyner, of the Christian church, officiating. Internment in the Masonic cemetery.
