FONDA, Aug. 10.—Charles H. Dillenbeck, 72, died suddenly Sunday morning Aug. 9,1942 at his home on Hickory Hill. He had been in declining health since undergoing a major operation four years ago.

Mr. Dillenbeck was born January 30, 1870, at Mapletown, a son of the late Henry I. Dillenbeck and Mary Christman Dillenbeck.

Hickory Hill has been his home for 27 years where he operated his own farm until retiring 13 years ago. For several years Mr. and Mrs: Dillenbeck have spent the Winter at St. Cloud, Fla. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Stone Arabia.

On February 15, 1905, he was married at Stone Arabia by the Rev. L. B, Dutcher to Emma D. Hlnkle, who survives. Other survivors are: two sons, Alpha F. of Hickory Hill and Henry B. of Tribes Hill; three grandchildren,- Florence Emma and Charles John Dillenbeck. Hickory Hill, and Shirley Diana Dillenbeck, Tribes Hill; one brother. Henry I. Dillenbeck, Fonda, R. D. 1; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Nellis, Mrs. Grace Fox and Mrs. Maude Van Dusen, Fonda, R. D., and Mrs. Hattie Minch, Brocton, N. Y., and several nieces and nephews.

The body was taken to the Jackson funeral home, Fonda, where services will be held at 2:30 P. M., Tuesday. The Rev. Stanley Haverly of Trinity Lutheran Church of Stone Arabia will officiate. Interment .will be in the family plot in the Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats.

Services for Charles H. Dillenbeck were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Jackson funeral home. Fonda, the Rev. Stanley Haverly of Trinity Lutheran Church of Stone Arabia officiating. Interment was In the family plot at the Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats. Among the floral tributes were pieces from the Ladies' Aid of the Trinity Lutheran Church. of Stone Arabia, and neighbors. Mr. Dillenbeck's nephews, David Fox, Roland Fox, George Nellis and Alton Dillenbeck, acted as bearers. In attendance from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heroth, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Heroth, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cramer, Mrs. Laura Page and Mrs. Ernest Kahn, Stone Arabia;—Mrs. Menzo Hinkle, Mrs. Katie Hinkle, Mrs. Hattie Christman, Miss Florence Dillenbeck, Amsterdam; Mrs. Elizabeth Christman, Amsterdam Mrs. John Kahn, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dygert, Fort Plain, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Klock, Kenneth Klock, Little Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Frasier Henry,. Johnstown.
