Charles Dille

WHEELER -- Charles E. Dille, 61, of 400 Sassafras Drive, died today at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso.

A millwright at Bethlehem Steel and World War II veteran, Dille was born in Chesterton April 15, 1919, a son of John and Maude (Sanders) Dille. He married Eva Falstrom Sept. 1, 1962.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Donna Nagler and Mrs. Dale Valette of Valparaiso; two brothers, Robert of Fort Wayne and John of Chesterton; two sisters, Lucille Warren of Chesterton and Irene Krieger of Connecticut; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at White Funeral Home in Chesterton with the Rev. Lawrence Swanson officiating. Burial is in Chesterton Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
