Nadine was born in Mississippi, the sixth daughter with one brother to Charley and Nicey Jane Ray Diffey. She married Earl W. Bascom Dec. 20, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Provo, Utah then southern California, moving to Victorville in 1957. She was in the first graduating class at Victor Valley College, and graduated from BYU. She taught elementary school for 22 years, retiring in 1988. Nadine was faithful in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, sewing, crocheting, quilting, gardening, floral arranging, painting, sculpting and watching basketball. Nadine and Earl's family includes 5 children: Denise (Mel) Marion, Provo, UT; Glen (Claudia), Arlington, TN; Doris (Dave) Cox, Overland Park, KS; John (Lisa), Apple Valley, CA; Dona (Jim) Louderback, Kingman, AZ; 28 grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren Funeral Services: Sat.
