Funeral services for Seminole resident Naomi Allen Bryan, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Historic Strothers Chapel in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Rev. David Karges will officiate the services.

Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Bryan passed away on Tuesday May 7, 2002 at Seminole Estates Nursing Center at the age of 84.

She was born to Ambrose Allen Dickey and Louisa Jane (Brock) Dickey on Aug. 23, 1917 in Branch, Ark.

Bryan moved to Seminole 65 years ago from Branch.

She married Tillman Pendergrass "Mutt" Bryan on Jan. 18, 1936 in Franklin County, Ark.

Bryan was a homemaker and worked as a legal secretary from 1975 to 1998 for Gipson, Johnston and McMains Law Firm.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for years where she and her husband were members of the wedding ring class.

Bryan was a Pink Lady for several years at the Seminole Municipal Hospital, and secretary of the Women's Wesley Group for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tillman, on June 26, 1974; her parents; and two sisters, Leola Gipson and Edra Dill.

Bryan is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dickey and Mary Bryan, Seminole; one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Sam Pool, Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Keli Pool Roper and her husband Jeff, Houston, Texas, Elizabeth Pool, Houston, Texas, and Jeremy, Eric, and Kari Bryan, all of Seminole; two great-grandchildren, Evan and Ryan Roper, Houston, Texas; one nephew and his wife, Patti, and their children Fred and Lisa Gipson, Lisa and Greg Barnard, and Elizabeth and Dusty Base; one niece, Linda Sharpe, and her children, Cal Sharpe, John Sharpe, and Susan and Jeff Downs; niece Norma Moore and her husband Phillip; and nine great-great nieces and nephews.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to the restoration of Historic Strothers Chapel at Maple Grove Cemetery Chapel Association, P.O. Box 1062, Seminole, 74818-1062.
