Livingston Dickason served in Company D. 64th Ohio Infantry in the Civil War.

He enlisted on Nov 21, 1861 giving his age as 19 and was mustered into Company D. 64th Ohio at Camp Buckingham, Mansfield, OH for 3 years service. The regiment took part in the Battles of Shiloh, Corinth, Stone River, Chickamauga, and Mission Ridge. He was discharged on June 24, 1864 by Surgeons Certificate of Disability. He received an Army Invalid Pension on July 25, 1864 for his injuries in the Civil War.

He was the son of Isaac and Elizabeth Dickason of Montgomery, Marion County, OH, where he is listed in the 1850 census as 7 years old born in 1843 in Ohio.

He married Sibbie M. Tinkham at Marion, OH on May 29, 1866.

In the 1880 census of Illinois, Livingston was living in Danville, IL age 36 born in Ohio and a grain dealer by profession. He was residing with his wife Sibie age 30 born OH, with daughters Clara 13, and Ada 4, and his mother-in-law Elizabeth Tinkham 66 born OH.

He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic Post #706 in Chicago, IL, and he was a Past Commander of the G.A.R. Department of Illinois.

On Sept 14, 1892 he married in Cook Co., IL Elizabeth Gilbert Baker. He was 48 and she was 24.

In the 1900 census of Chicago, IL Livingston was residing in Hyde Park Chicago age 57 born Nov 1843 in Ohio residing with his wife Elizabeth age 34 born in NY.
