Dan worked in construction most of his life. On August 26, 1963 he married the love of his life, the former June Ann Hundley in Midland. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, working on and riding his motorcycle, just hanging out in his garage with family and friends, and giving straight to the point wisdom. Dan was truly one of the most generous people anyone could ever know. He would give you his last five dollars even if he only had four. His true passion was his family, especially his grandchildren. They will always remember him as the toughest and hardest grandpa to keep up with. He truly was a big family man and will be greatly missed by them all.
He is survived by his wife June; their children Danny (Carrie) Dice, Dana Dice, Jojo (Mike) Sample, and Brenda (Larry) Moody; 26 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his step-mother Juanita Dice, several brothers, and sisters as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service for Dan will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St. Dan’s family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of service. Those planning and expression of sympathy are asked to consider the family.
