Mrs. Metta C. Bolinger, aged 41, of 812 Wright street, this city, died at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Lutheran hospital at Fort Wayne where she recently underwent an operation, Mrs. Bolinger had been ailing for the past four years.

Mrs. Bolinger was born 6 January 1886, the daughter of Elmer and Ida Dewalt. Her marriage was to Edward Bolinger on 3 December 1905, and four children were born to this union. The family lived in Lancaster township until two months ago, at which time they moved to this city.

She is survived by her husband, by four children, Mrs. Mildred D. Hopkins, of Peru, and Fred, Fern Opal, and Thelma Marie, residing at home, by her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer DeWalt, by one brother, George Dewalt, of Warren township, and by two grandchildren.

Mrs. Bolinger was a member of the Ladies Aid of the Church of the Brethren at Lancaster, at which church funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. J. W. Norris, assisted by the Rev. Roy Teach, officiating.

Burial will be at the Lancaster cemetery.
