Wife of James Monroe Barbee, Daughter of Henry DeWalt, Jr. and Nancy (Dew) DeWalt.
When Hannah died in Picher, all her sons except James Leonard were living in Picher, Ok, involved in lead and zinc mining. Her only daughter lived in nearby Cardin with husband William Grimes.
Of the three sons, Clarence moved to Osage County, Ok. Henry, Sumner, and son-in-law William all contacted TB, moved back to Missouri and died of the disease after Hannah's death.
Son James, who had died in Denver, Co, in 1920, had contacted TB, but that was only discovered during an autopsy after his accidental death.
Hannah's husband had died in Joplin, Mo, in 1917 of cancer.
