Loretta Sue Deutsch, 62, of Aurora, passed away peacefully in her home June 23, 2006 after many years of struggling with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Loretta was born in Pittsburg, Illinois on January 1, 1944 to her loving parents, Ray and Ailene Neely. She already had a five year older sister, Phyllis who over the years would become her best friend and with whom she would share many memorable experiences. The Neely family lived in Pittsburg until moving to Marion, Illinois where Loretta lived until she moved to Aurora, Illinois in 1962. During her working career she was employed by Lyon Metal Products, Advanced Transportation, Metcalfe Pharmacy, Garbe Iron Works, AMWELL, GBA Firestone and Countryside Nursing Home. She enjoyed making home improvements and vacationing, but most of all spending special times with her family to whom she was especially dedicated. She is survived by Gerald "Jerry" Deutsch, her husband of 25 years; her two loving and caring children, Stephanie (Jerry) Henricks of Venice, FL and Gregory (Marilyn) Vance of Sheridan, IL; stepchildren, Michael (Anne) Deutsch, Deborah (Bret) Fogelberg; grandchildren, Mallory Vance, Emily West, Matt West, Kaylee Deutsch, Tyler Deutsch, Allison Deutsch, Tessa Fogelberg, Evan Fogelberg; her brother-in-law, Robert Stricklin; her aunts, Betty (Bob) Emmerson and Doris Troutman; and several cousins (most notably, Lynda Neely with whom she was especially close) and friends. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ailene Neely; and her sister, Phyllis Stricklin. Funeral services and interment will be Private.
