Final commitment services for George William Derry, who died Wednesday at his home, 635 Southeast Manchester Place, will be held in the Portland Crematorium chapel today at 2:30 P.M. Rev. Raymond B. Walker will officiate. The deceased will receive vault entombment in Memorial Hall.
A native of Staffordshire, England, where he was born January 24, 1865. Mr. Derry came to Oregon in 1881. His marriage to Ida Starkweather took place January 13, 1897.
Survivors are the widow, their three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Thayer, Mrs. Lucile Pattee and Mrs Winnifred Hickox; two grandchildren, Ronald Pattee and Marilyn hickox, all of Portland; a sister, Mrs. Susan Haley of Newport, OR and a brother Thomas Derry of this city.
