Graveside funeral rites will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 pm in the Bleakwood Cemetery at Kirbyville under direction of the Nunnelly-Stanley Funeral Home.
A native of Walnut Hill, LA, Mr Derrough had been a Port Arthur resident 43 years. He was employed by The News from October 1946 until his retirement 7 years ago. Prior to coming to work here, he had worked a number of years for The Enterprise Newspaper in Beaumont.
He was a Methodist and a member of Port Arthur Typographical Union, Local 984.
Surviving are 2 sons, Bennie Derrough of DeRidder, LA, and Freddie Derrough of Hammond, LA; a brother, James Derrough of Port Arthur; and 2 sisters, Frances Derrough and Mrs Laura Copeland, both of Wichita, KS.
