Found in The Columbia Record 15 March 1955: Funeral services for Mrs. Fanny Ellis (Dent) Cooper, 83, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stella Baxter, 608 Muller Ave., last night, will be held Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the Paschal Regal Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Marley. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. She was born in Killian, a daughter of the late John Calhoun and Janie Fennell Hawkins Dent. She was a member of the Killian Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Baxter, Mrs. E. H. Leonhardt, and Mrs. W. L. Thomas, all of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Janie Cox and Mrs. Ella Ward, both of Columbia; 20 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
