Mrs. Jane M. Becker, relict of H. B. Becker, died at her home in West Somerset from injuries sustained from an accidental fall..
The deceased was born in Mayfield, Fulton county, N. Y., Jan. 27, 1822. For 26 years she had been a resident of West Somerset, greatly esteemed by all who knew her. During the weeks of painful suffering prior to her death she preserved the same patient spirit characteristic of her life. When a girl of 14 she united with the Presbyterian church and rejoiced in the hope that "all things work together for good to them that love God." She leaves one son, Mr. John Becker of West Somerset, a brother, Mr. Stephen Dennis of Johnson's Creek, and two sisters, Mrs. Cozzens of Hess Road and Mrs. Hollenbeck of Gloversville.
The funeral services were held at the West Somerset Baptist church on Thursday at 2 p. m., Rev. L. J. Gross officiating. The house was filled with sympathizing friends. The interment was in the West Somerset cemetery.
