Vera G. DeMott, 94, of Millville passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Maria Hall, Danville.
She was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Scotch Valley, a daughter of the late Harvey and Produs (Hunsinger) Hons. She attended school in Scotch Valley.
Vera enjoyed spending time with her family, including the family dogs. She loved to cook and it always made her so happy when any of her children came home for one of her Sunday dinners. Vera enjoyed a good cup of coffee, watching the Hallmark channel and surprisingly, wrestling also. She attended Eyers Grove United Methodist Church.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. DeMott Sr., who passed away Nov. 2, 2010; three sons: Robert H. DeMott Jr. (2010); Douglas DeMott (2004); and Jeffrey DeMott (2016).
Vera is survived by son, Gregory DeMott, of Williamsport; five daughters: Sandy Wallingford and husband, Steve, of Virginia; Connie Wright and husband, Frank Looby, of Norristown; Diane Thompson of Duboistown; Debbie Reese and husband, Jeffrey, of Millville; and Holly DeMott of Millville; 10 grandchildren: Candy Bogert; Lisa Storer; Kyle Crawford; Charlotte Looby; Ron Thompson; Jason DeMott; Jarrod DeMott; Shelly Staley; Bridget Carl; and Jeremy Reese; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Reichart, of Lightstreet.
Services will be Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at noon at Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville, with Pastor Robert Strozyk of Mill-Green United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery
