She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church in Lincolnton and was a homemaker. She was formerly employed at Diana Shop of Orlando, Florida for 19 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William C. Burris; a sister, Elgiva Bost; and five brothers, W.H. Dellinger, U. F. Dellinger, E. M. Dellinger, Paul Dellinger and Otis Dellinger.
Burial in Catawba Memorial Park.
The Burris family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.
