Mary Jo Alexander, age 45, a resident of Newhope, Arkansas, died Saturday, February 11, 2017, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born September 19, 1971, in De Queen. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Otto and Mildred Deer, her birth mother, Mary Campbell, four brothers, Sonny, Larry, Earl and Danny Deer; and a sister, Emma Harris.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, one daughter and son-in-law, one son, her birth father and step-mother, three grandchildren, six sisters, one brother, a number of nieces, nephews and host of other relatives.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Alexander will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2017, in Sweet Home Cemetery
