A memorial service was held Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow for Gwendolyn "Aunt Gwennie" Ann Crewson, 70, of Coweta.

Arrangements were under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Crewson died Sunday, Oct. 31 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa after a short illness.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mrs. Crewson was born Aug. 28, 1940 in Tulsa to Drew and Alma Dewitt. She was raised in Tulsa and graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1958.

On March 29, 1968 she and Jerry Crewson were married.

Mrs. Crewson worked for many years as an administrative assistant at Centerline in Tulsa. When her father died in 1980 she became a full time caregiver for her mother in Coweta.

She was a volunteer at the Coweta Fall Festival for many years, running the bingo games. She will be remembered by her acts of kindness and charity.

Mrs. Crewson is survived by her husband, Jerry Crewson of Coweta; two daughters, Christy Miller and her husband, Russell of Edmond and Karen Fox and her husband, Mike of Mannford; one grandson, Jason; one brother, William Drew DeWitt and his wife, Joann of Sapulpa; two sisters, Linda Hughey and her husband, David of Coweta and Suzie Maxwell and her husband, Bob of Broken Arrow and several nephews, nieces and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Drew and Alma Dewitt and one sister, Barbara Bennett.
