Mrs. Gifford Dewater, aged 61 years, died Thursday at midnight at her home in Alamo, following an illness of six months. Mrs. Dewater had been a resident of Alamo for over 50 years and was very well known in that vicinity. She was born December 11, 1853, in Cayuga county, New York, coming to Michigan when a young girl. Mrs. Dewater is survived by a husband, one son, Burt, of Alamo; a daughter, Mrs. T. J. Hill, and two grandchildren. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home with Rev.
