Mrs. Florence Cecelia "Doodie" Crawford was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on May 1, 1929, a daughter of the late Clarence and Opal Elizabeth (Biddle) DeMott.

Having lived most of her life in Lebanon, Mrs. Crawford graduated from Lebanon High School.

On April 6, 1955, she was married to Alvin Bruckner Crawford in Lebanon, Indiana. Mr. Crawford passed away on September 18, 2004.

Mrs. Crawford worked as a receptionist for Dr. Coons prior to her marriage to Al. While raising her daughters, she took care of the home and helped her husband farm. Once her girls entered college, she went to work for College Life Insurance Company.

Doodie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her family, she enjoyed line dancing with her husband, gardening and playing Bingo and Euchre.

Memberships: Centenary United Methodist Church in Lebanon



Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation is planned from noon until the time of the service on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at the funeral home in Lebanon.

Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.

Survivors:

Two Daughters: Mrs. Kay E. Dixon and husband, David – Dayton, Ohio

Mrs. Julie A. Baroudos and husband, George – Noblesville, Indiana

Twin Grandsons: Evan James and Eli Crawford Baroudos – Noblesville, IN

Sister: Mrs. Mildred Dickerson and husband, Jim – Lebanon, Indiana

Several Nieces and Nephews including Chris Christy – Texas

Deceased: In addition to her parents and her husband, Doodie was preceded in death by a brother, James DeMott and four sisters, Betty Christy, Lucille Reed, Marjorie Shook, and Martha Moore.
