Josepha G. Alvarez, 69, died Friday, September 8, 2006.

Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2006, in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Chapel in Dumas, Texas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Sunray, Texas with Deacon Wayne Norrell of Church of Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray, Texas.

Mrs. Alvarez was born June 30, 1937, in McDonna, Texas to Jose Angel and Teresa Garcia Deleon. She was a home maker.

Survivors include five sons; Bryan Alvarez of Boise City, Oklahoma, Herman Alvarez of Turpin, Oklahoma, Randy Alvarez of Addison, Texas, Albert Alvarez of Sunray, Texas and Cris Alvarez of Amarillo, Texas; a daughter, Estella Alvarez of Sunray, Texas; two half-sisters; three half- brothers; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchidren.

The family suggests memorials be to a local charity.
