Michael A. DeFranzo, 62, of Milford, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away April 21, 2013 at Milford Hospital with his wife and children by his side.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Arleen Suffredini DeFranzo.
He was born October 19, 1950, son of Celia and the late Angelo DeFranzo.
He was employed by the City of Bridgeport Board of Education for 26 years until his retirement in 2009.
In addition to his wife, Arleen, survivors include his mother, Celia; two children, Melissa Morizet and her husband Darren of Hopewell Junction, NY, Michael DeFranzo and his wife Michelle of Shelton, CT; five grandchildren, Lucas, Austin and Dylan Morizet, Michael and Sofia DeFranzo.
He is also survived by his brother Joey DeFranzo and three sisters, Linda Lupulio, Terry Varrone and Michele Dias.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday at 11:00 am directly in St. Agnes Church Milford. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peters Mausoleum in Derby.
