Glenn E. DeBoy
February 24, 1936 - July 11, 2013

Glenn E. DeBoy, 77, of West Lafayette, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at his home.
Born February 24, 1936 in Lafayette, Indiana, he was the son of the late Grover and Katherine (Habben) DeBoy. He was a 1954 graduate of Battle Ground High School.
On May 20, 1956 he married Phyllis Becker in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lafayette. She survives.
Glenn was a US Veteran and served in the Army in France during the Berlin crisis. He and his wife adopted a baby, Steven Michael, from Germany in 1960.
He was a self-employed excavating contractor and later worked for Jefferson -Smurfit of Lafayette.
Glenn was an avid Colts football and NASCAR fan, and his favorite driver was Tony Stewart.
Surviving with his wife are his sons, Jeffrey B. DeBoy of Lafayette and David R. DeBoy (wife: Teresa) of Wellford, SC; a brother, Norman DeBoy (wife: Rita) of Lafayette; a sister, Lucille Koenig of Cocoa Beach, FL and a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Dixie Hayworth of West Lafayette.
Glenn loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan DeBoy of Lafayette and Tyler DeBoy of West Lafayette.
Preceding him in death are three sons, Steven Michael, Curtis Alan and Kevin Scott DeBoy; brothers, Gordon, Roy and Dale DeBoy and a sister Arlene Schembre.
