Funeral Mass for Clarice Elizabeth Dearman-Clayborne, 30, of Alto will be Sunday at 3 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville, with Father Juan Carlos Rivera officiating. Burial will follow at Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto.

Mrs. Dearman-Clayborne died Monday in Alto. She was born November 12, 1985 in Jacksonville, Tx. She lived most of her life in Alto and Rusk, Texas and was a 2004 graduate of Alto High School. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rusk and had also attended the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Clarice had attended Prarie View A & M and had worked in EMS services in Hempstead and as a forest firefighter in Florida. She was currently working at Etech in Rusk and had also worked in home health care and for the Jack Harwell detention center in Waco.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Cecile & David Griffin Sr. and Leon and Connie Dearman. She is survived by husband Ronnie Charles Clayborne of Flint, daughter Makenzie Bowens, son Cahlen Clayborne of Alto, parents Larry and Jennifer Griffin Dearman of Alto , Sister and brother-in-law Candace Overstreet (Mike) of Alto, brother Darrin Dearman of Alto, nephew Mikey Overstreet of Alto, step daughter Sierrah Clayborne of Longview, God daughter Makayla Black of Alto, God sisters Kendra Graham of Tomball, Angela Jefferson of Alto, Pam Black of Alto and Mink Smith of Houston, God brothers Charles Morgan of Pearland and Larry Simms of Garland and numerous other relatives and close friends.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Thacker, Andy Tyra, Roy Hogg, Russell Hackney, Matthew Hackney and Kendrick Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Kendrick Morrison and the Alto High School class of 2004.

A Memorial visitation will be Saturday from 6 - 8pm with a rosary at the Alto Community Fellowship Church in Alto.
